In Synergy, you can merge any rows that have duplicate text. This can help consolidate long reports, and helps in transaction type reports where there is lots of data.
Synergy will check all the columns and merge all rows if the text in all the columns match. You can choose what function is performed on the numerically valued parts of the rows (like Sum, Average, or First).
To do this you will need to customise a report.
- Click on the ellipsis
- Click ‘Merge duplicate rows’.
Click on the edit column icon.
- Choose how you want your merged duplicates to tally.Note: The none option defaults to the Grouping/report totals drop-down.
When you select a function from Grouping/report totals drop-down, it will affect the areas in red in your report.
When you select a function from Merge duplicate rows, it will affect the areas in green in your report.
