Use the timesheet leaderboard to see how you rank against the other staff in your company for entering your timesheets on-time. The report shows your ranking from the last 28 days.
To view your ranking:
- Open timesheets.
- Click on the alert 'leaderboard position' found in the top toolbar.
- The timesheet leaderboard report is shown, displaying your ranking against the other staff members at your organization.
How the leaderboard works
The timesheet leaderboard checks how close to the timesheet date that the timesheet was actually entered. The ranking checks if the timesheet was entered on-time, along with checking that the required total number of hours per working day have been entered. The required number of hours per day are setup in the staff record using the staff calendar.
For each timesheet you enter a ranking score is stored in the background based on the above logic for each date. This means that the more days you enter your timesheets 'on the same date' as the date of the transaction, then you will have a higher score for the ranking.
The report ranks each staff members timesheet entries over the last 28 days, and averages the ranking results after any penalties for late or incomplete timesheets have been applied. If a staff member enters more than the required number of hours per day, the additional hours entered are ignored or skipped over by this calculation. If the staff manager 'skips' the timesheet as missing, then a penalty for that day / week is still applied in this calculation.
Example
Jill works 8 hours a day from Monday to Friday. She has created a timesheet entry for Monday 27th April 2018 for 8 hours. If she 'created' the timesheet entry on 27/04/2018then she will get a high ranking than if she entered this timesheet the following week on the 4th May 2018.
If Jill had entered less than the required '8 hours' for her working day, then a ranking penalty would have been applied.
