What is MYOB ARL contacts import?
When getting started with Synergy import your existing contacts from MYOB AccountRight Live into Synergy. The created contact records will include all matching details from the MYOB contact card.
Import process overview
- All 'customer' type contacts are selected to be imported, and 'supplier' type contacts are skipped. Use the 'select all' option to add the supplier contacts to the import.
- MYOB AccountRight Live contacts are created in Synergy as 'company' or 'individual' type contacts. This is based on the 'designation' field on the MYOB contact.
- MYOB does not have personnel type contacts. Change the imported contacts to be personnel type contacts in Synergy using the convert contact type option after the import has been completed.
- Inactive contacts in MYOB AccountRight Live cannot be imported, and will not be shown in the preview.
- Each contact record created by the import will have a tag added with the imported date.
- Any items that were unable to be imported are listed in an Excel file that can be downloaded from the Audit tab of the contact import. Contacts from MYOB are imported as either company or individual type only.
- Future updates required to the record should be completed in Synergy on the contact details tab. If using Synergy Connect for MYOB to transfer invoices to your accounting system, then the updated contact details will be sync'd to MYOB with the invoice at a later date.
