What is Xero contacts import?
When getting started with Synergy import your existing contacts from Xero into Synergy. The created contact records will include all matching details from the Xero contact record.
Import process overview
- All 'customer' type contacts are selected to be imported, and 'supplier' type contacts are skipped. Use the 'select all' option to add the supplier contacts to the import.
- Xero contacts are created in Synergy as 'company' type contacts. Change the company contacts to the individual type contact in Synergy using the convert contact type option after the import has been completed.
- Primary and Secondary persons included on the Xero contact are imported to Synergy as personnel type contacts.
- Archived contacts in Xero cannot be imported, and will not be shown in the preview.
- Each contact record created by the import will have a tag added with the imported data.
- Any items that were unable to be imported are listed in an Excel file that can be downloaded from the Audit tab of the contact import. Contacts from Xero are imported as either company or personnel type only.
- Future updates required to the record should be completed in Synergy on the contact details tab. If using Synergy Connect for Xero to transfer invoices to your accounting system, then the updated contact details will be synced to Xero with the invoice at a later date.
