Timers allow you to track how much time you spend on project tasks, attending meetings, answering phone calls, and other work related tasks. Start the timer when you begin the task, and stop the timer when the you have finished working on the task.
The project work breakdown tab lets you add the project tasks for a simple project structure, or stage tasks for a full work breakdown project. Each of the tasks lines shown have a timer button available, which allow you to start the timer from within the open project. If the task is assigned to you in the work breakdown, the task line also appears in the 'my tasks' panel on the dashboard to remind you that the task is due to be completed.
Start a timer from within the project to have the entire project task details automatically populated onto the timer timesheet row.
Timer started from the work breakdown tab of the project, will have extra details shown when you enter your timesheets. The stage and task detail are automatically populated onto the timer, to make it even quicker to enter your timesheet. A normal timer has only the project details showing in the timesheet entry page.
