Contacts are created in Synergy to track who you work with on your projects, and who you are sending the project invoices to. A few examples of contacts are companies, suppliers, local governments or councils, sub contractors, and real estate agents.
Synergy has three types of contacts:
- Company - a business or organisation.
- Personnel - staff at the company who you contact about the project work or invoices.
- Individual - client who is not part of a company. e.g. Mr & Mrs Jones.
Create the company contacts first, then add the required personnel contacts. Each new personnel record is must be linked to a company contact record. e.g. The company is ABC Constructions, and all the invoices should be sent to the personnel contact of David Brown at ABC Constructions.
Add individual contacts for people that you deal with that don't work for a company. e.g. Mr & Mrs Jones who are getting quotes on renovations for their home.
